Aspen Twig Gall

Aspen twig gall is a wasp that deposits an egg in the new tender growth of aspen branches. It then forms a round ball like growth on the tissue or branch and is unsightly but not life threatening to a tree. We treat it with a systemic pesticide. It does not always eliminate the problem however it does seem to help with the problem by reducing the amount of galls that form. We treat it in the spring.
